“My name is Tim Samaras, and I chase the most powerful storms on the planet. My passion and research is to intercept tornadoes in progress and deploy small probes directly in their path to record the extreme weather conditions inside the tornado core. Last year our team measured the largest barometric pressure drop ever recorded on June 24, 2003 of over 100 millibars as it destroyed the small hamlet of Manchester, South Dakota. The data has revealed several “secrets” of the inside of a violent tornado. I’m also featured in the April 2004 issue of National Geographic magazine, where a photographer was with me during the deployments and has captured some of the most astounding tornado images ever on film.

Every year my pursuit takes me to the great plains where I journey over 35,000 miles over 12 states within a period of two months. Using a petroleum-based motor oil, I used to change my motor oil every couple of days! Based upon these frequent changes, I decided to switch to AMSOIL synthetic motor oil, where I have extended my oil changes to over 7,500 miles! My vehicle has already seen some incredible abuse so far this year with over 15 tornadoes intercepted, where I’ve only had to change the oil three times, as my vehicle has already accumulated over 24,000 miles in May alone!”

At one point recently, Sakura was hooked-up so perfectly that the AMSOIL-lubricated car broke its own World Record three times in one day.  It did a 7.66 quarter-mile Elapsed Time at 173 mph, only to turn around and do a 7.56 ET at 176 mph, then finish the day with a 7.48 ET at 176.3 mph.

The Falito Racing Team and the Rafaelito car has done so well that they were invited to compete at selected races in the U.S.  Rafaelito is the World's Fastest Rotor Engine.  Its 7.66 ET 173 mph pass is NHRA certified and recognized as the World Best.

William Rojas is driving the Professional Transmission Pontiac Trans Am to wins in Puerto Rico and is now making noise in the U.S.  Rojas is the first Puerto Rican to qualify for an IHRA championship.  The purple bullet ran a remarkable 6.41 sec. ET at 217.48 mph.  If that wasn't good enough, Rojas managed to lower that ET to 6.37 while competing on tracks in the U.S.  The car uses AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-40 Oil in the engine and AMSOIL transmission fluid.

“I have been using AMSOIL Synthetic Diesel Engine Oil and the AMSOIL Dual-Gard By-Pass Filtration System, along with used oil analysis, for nearly three years. My 1997 Mack CH613 had 176,000 miles on it when I began using AMSOIL motor oil and the Dual-Gard System. At the time I bought this truck, the company I am leased to bought a number of identical trucks for their fleet. All of these trucks operate in much the same way, including operating environment, type of haul, etc. These trucks also have a dash mounted digital display of the lifetime average fuel economy. At this time my trucks average is 6.78 MPG, and the company trucks range from 5.8 to 6.2 MPG. The difference between 6.78 and a fleet average of 6 MPG is over 11 percent. That is significant savings, and the major difference here is I use AMSOIL and the company trucks use conventional oil!

Both the full flow and by-pass filters are changed regularly, and at each 20,000 mile interval, an oil sample is taken to monitor the oils condition. Currently, I have 412,000 miles on this truck, the last 236,000 without an oil change. The oil analysis from Oil Analyzers, Inc. reports the oil is suitable for continued use and the engine runs great.”
